Marouflage by Ġoxwa
Goxwa regularly creates one-off pieces in the form of marouflages based on digraphies of original paintings.
A Marouflage is a process that allows transforming a print of an original painting into an other original and unique artwork.
The high quality digital print is carefully applied to a wooden panel. Goxwa then reworks it, using her usual method of oil painting and wax.
Each piece stands thus as a singular creation.
